PLANED secures Welsh Government funding for new Regional Food Hub project

PLANED, the leading community focused organisation based in West Wales, has been given the green light by the Welsh Government to deliver the Wales Community Food Distribution Initiative covering Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.

Alice Coleman, Project Coordinator says ‘”This is a fantastic pilot project that will operate a flexible, inclusive, environmentally and economically sustainable distribution model, bringing together community groups, food producers and suppliers in Wales stimulating Wales food supply chains.”

Led by PLANED, this project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the Welsh Government and The Wales Community Food Hubs Initiative will respond to Covid 19 recovery and enable communities across South West Wales to access, healthy and affordable food.
